Hypnotherapy...Better Health

Tonight is my last session of hypnotherapy.  My last smoke was noon on Monday 1/24 and I have not craved one since.  Now I need to take the time I was wasting smoking and get busy with my Slim in 6.  I haven't worked out this week, as I wanted to just focus on my sessions and listening to my relaxation tape every chance I could.  The therapist has given me many tools to keep me smoke free.  I'm really pumped.  This weekend I will start my Slim in 6 routine...religiously.

AWESOME! Discovered a great new DVD tonight. '10 Minute Crusher Pack' Three 10-minute DVD's that just ripped me apart...you would look at my recent photos and think I could hang with any program for 10 minutes, right? WRONG! Wow...10 minutes of abs, 10 minutes of legs, and 10 minutes of shadowboxing/rope jumping. Abs were screaming, legs were begging for mercy, and I should probably not use Puppy as my punching bag, poor poochina!
Oh..and good news ladies, I already found your slim in 6 graduation presents...muahahahaha!! Bikinis, here you come! The both of yous...

Taking it easy

I took Tuesday night off because I was rather stiff.  I don't want to over due it and do anything to my back.  Feeling better today so I will be doing my 30 minute workout tonight.  The instructor indicates certain exercises will strengthen the back, but I was warned in my physical therapy to not twist much at the waist.  Moving slow, but as I strengthen, I know I will feel better.

I go to counseling/hypnotheraphy on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday to stop smoking.   Combined with the Slin in 6...I should be a new woman in no time.

good news on several fronts...feeling great tonight, some deep soreness in my legs and butt, mostly in my thighs, and just a hint of soreness in my shoulders, biceps and triceps, all of which tell me the 'easier' workouts work well too. Tonight I tried 'Hummingbird' for the first time, it is a compacted yoga workout from volume 2. It is perfect for me...I can do all of the moves, and I still struggle and have years of improvement ahead of me, hell, a lifetime really. Nothing is ever really perfect, unless it is, and then just as suddenly, it isn't...know what I mean? ;) So I've got two decent yoga DVD's I can alternate, hoping for more in the future...and I have got almost two full weeks coming up where I might be able to start doing 2-a-days...really get a good full head of steam into this workout cycle...how are you ladies doing, April must almost be wrapping up week 1 already!! That's already 16.5% down Ape!! From experience, if you don't stop, it really only gets easier and more rewarding...keep pushing! Mom, day 3 down already? How're you feeling, sore but getting some energy? Let's go ladies!! Don't stop..don't give up...push harder and deeper and stronger every day and every move....you know you are already getting healthier and more fit!

woo-hoo............another one bites the dust. I did my old ab ripper X DVD today and just knocked off the 'Just Arms' DVD. Feels so easy while I am doing it, then the last couple moves my arms are screaming, and now I am struggling to get my fingers to extend to stroke the keys. The DVD hit three muscle groups over and over. Bi's, fore's, tri's...no, those aren't sexual preferrences...just shorthand for biceps, forearms, and triceps. All done, oh..and last night I was up to over 197lbs. April, you thought people would get out of my way before...wait until I am back up to this size...and with the rapist beard... ;)

getting into a groove now...wow, I cannot believe how amped I am from seeing mom post her Day 1 photos! Seriously, I am on a tear (think 'rip', not crying) today since seeing her post. Thanks for the bolt of energy mom! I just knocked out Plyo Legs from volume one of the one-on-ones. A lot of similar moves from the P90X plyoX DVD, with a few new great ones. I will definitely add this to my frequent use turnstile...still experimenting with the 29 new DVD's I have. Ladies..how are we doing with the workouts on that end...??

CRUSHED IT!! I avoided it all day...tried to convince myself numerous times not to start, to put it off. Tried to make excuses to put it off until tomorrow. But instead, I put on some good music (bassnectar, GZA) and fucking crushed it! Notice any differences from even 30 minutes ago? 128 pullups, 240 pushups, 1 hour...bam!

I admit it, I am taking a quick (see: long) breather during the massive 30-15 DVD...I have done 8 of the 24 moves...whew...
so this is my blog, therefore, I can post all the vanity pics I damn well fucking please...I also thought, since mom is getting underway today, we should all post our current photos and see who makes the best progress....you guys are REALLY CHEATING...I took one month off, hence the slight belly flab, yes, I notice it even if you do not. But you guys have taken a lifetime off!! So, post your big fat land whale belly, and flabby saggy arms and cottage cheese thighs pics. We can all try not to retch and gag at each other, then we can give firmer and warmer pats on the back and buns!! as we shed it all off...

Watch out JT

Look at me, got the invite and posted already! Whose proud?? I have been a good girl with my workouts already, we've had it for three days and I have done three days as well as walked around the neighborhood twice the three days as well! My legs don't think this is funny by the way, by the end of day two I swear I was bouncing down the stairs....it hurt so bad! But I feel a difference in my sides (which women HATE) Ella sticks with me every time too :) Even though yesterday the stinker decided during my ab section to blow up the woopie farty thing and while I was in my zone she stuck it under my head! I thought Tracker just busted his pants out! Smart little stinker I have on my hands....
Anyways I am off to get my boys up so we can go walk around Capital Lake before dad gets home from work and the boys tear out the bathroom floors :)

Recovery 4 Results...wow, I really don't know what to do. Working out for only 38 minutes...it just does not seem right after nearly two years of hour-plus workouts. However, I will admit to enjoying it.

But in honor of mom's kick-off workout tomorrow, I will be diving head-first into 30-15...a solid set of 30 push-ups and 15 pulls-ups, over and over and over until I am dead on the floor...

Back and Belly...these one on one DVD's have the advantage of getting in a solid workout without requiring so much time. I got a lot of pull-ups, and a good number of sit-ups and my entire workout done for the day in 36 minutes...much better than the 90 I'm used to devoting to it.

I suck...so badly...at yoga. I've been doing it off an on for the better part of two years...and I pop in the new MC2 Yoga video and I can barely break a sweat, can barely get deep into the positions, and can not even finish the DVD. As with the original yoga DVD, I cut out the last approx. 1/3 of intense positions because, my body refuses to do them. I'm not sure how long it might take to get to that level of expertise, or even just survivalise, or simply just not give upise. Damn...ok..can't get too discouraged though...Legs/Back tomorrow..or maybe I'll try another of the new ones...keep the experimentation theme going...

whoa....Kenpo Cardio PLUS...jeez....a lot of new moves, some complicated martial arts....my face is toasty and I am caked in sweat. More later...gotta run.

abs for the spare

...just cleaned up the abs from last Friday. I tried the new Plus Ab video for the first time. Four extra minutes, and quite a bit different way to work the abdominal muscles and core. It utilizes the chin-up bar for some hanging resistance, and the moves are mostly only 30 seconds a pop. Seems easier, however I can feel them awfully tight under the slab of fat I poured onto myself during my month off. Glad to have another alternative ab workout anyways...time for another workout, the new Kenpo Cardio Plus. See you in 41 minutes...

did another new one...just arms...from season 1 tonight. Felt easy from the get go..but definitely worked it a bit at the end there...will clean up the abs tomorrow with a new yoga DVD. Weight is up at 88kgs after dinner...I could still eat another meal if I get my butt in gear...

Also knocking out plyocide, a new one from season 3 of the 1-on-1's...seems a lot easier than the plyo X...that or I'm just such a physical specimen...

Also..weight is up to nearly 87kgs. already...I see some bloating, but it is mostly internal..should only take a month or month and a half to trim out the fat....

1/2 of 120

...is in the books. Wow...didn't get the same numbers of reps per move, but I can say I have never done each rep as well. Looks like I am heading less towards the lean and ripped this cycle, and more towards the, Holy FUCKING Christ, who...no, WHAT IS THAT?!? :)

Welcome Back...

Time to get to some SERIOUS work!!! I stocked up on chicken breasts, ground pork, ground beef, and some steaks yesterday at Costco. I still have protien powder and I got some new bananas for the shakes. Even bought a bag of frozen vegetables with broccoli, cauliflower, sliced carrots, and sliced yellow carrots to enjoy. I will get some tuna tomorrow and keep the brown rice cooking. Jihye has been cooking more lately and I will keep enjoying her DELICIOUS homemade meals...
After my peak of 91.7kgs....I tried a different route the past 90 day cycle and really slimmed down...all the way down to about 79.7kgs...I thought it would take me longer to regain the weight gradually and get back up to about 88kgs, but as of tonight, Day 1, I am already weighing in at 86.8kgs after a big meal with some ice cream cake dessert. I took about a month off to relax, let my body recover, and frankly, to drink a lot. I didn't gain nearly as much fat as I thought I would and my body still looks pretty good from the last 90 day set. So I am really looking forward to pushing harder than I ever have, doing each movement to the extreme, and seeing some frightening results. I have not even come close to finding my limits...let's go see where they are....and blow right past them!!
